There is no need for the 'pink', or 'blue', they are all the same, as long as they are the genuine CHI brand. Hers was used so much the wires had worn and shorted out where they go into the handle. Tried to talk her into a $30 one at Wal-Mart but this is the only kind she will use. It leaves my hair sliky smooth hours after I straighten it. Often times with other brands, my hair will poof up, but not with the Chi. It also takes me half the time to straighten my hair with the Chi than with any other brand.
