| Customer Reviews:
Quickly replacing our digital camcorder January 8, 2009 The flip is so convenient to have everywhere, it's quickly replacing our digital camcorder. And the fact that the video on it doesn't need to be captured from the camcorder to the PC makes it so fast to share the video once it's taken so we're getting to the videos much quicker. The picture quality is surprisingly good, even when viewed on a large screen TV. One improvement I'd look for, if there's ever a similarly priced camcorder that adds an optical zoom instead of digital, I'd probably buy a new one almost immediately. The zoomed video gets very grainy very fast, makes the zoom almost useless. It's surprisingly good on batteries. We get at least a couple of hours of recording and transfer from every pair of AA batteries.
I like this thing January 6, 2009 At first, I thought it looked more like a toy than a camcorder. It's very light, and not having too many buttons makes it look a bit not so cool. But when I turned it on and started recording, and then viewing it on the tv, it changed my mind! It's a cool little light thing with very acceptable video quality. And it kept on recording for over 2 hours!
I like: Video quality Size USB Battery
I dislike: Weight Few buttons Not being able to record while connected to tv
Flip video camcorder January 6, 2009 This was a Christmas gift for a 14 year old. He has really enjoyed using the flip. The only problem we have come across is that the batteries need to be replaced often.
flip video January 6, 2009 the flip is great except i'm no techie and haven't taken the time to make it a device that will email easily. Files are big and take some time to get where they are sent. Easy set up and installation. Should make a great tool
Flip Video January 6, 2009 This is a fun and easy gadget to use. Needs plenty of light to get a good picture, but for the price the picture quality is acceptable. I've used other camcorders and like this one the best for ease of use. Fits in my pocket so I can take it along without the hassle of a larger, expensive camera that I worry about getting damaged or stolen. Great for those spontaneous shots of the grandkids. The zoom feature is worthless, lose picture quality. I'm having trouble starting or stopping the recording at times. That little red button just doesn't always work.
