Excellent BP Monitor December 24, 2008 Excellent product. Works as advertised. Easy instructions. Display is easily read. Capability to download months of readings and printout or email to my family Dr is a big plus. Arm cuff is most accurate. Tried finger bp monitors and they just didn't cut it for accuracy. Omron has a winner with this product.
This is the gizmo for keeping up w/ your blood pressure December 24, 2008 My doc keeps asking me if I've got a method for tracking my blood pressure as high pressure runs in my family. Well, based on reviews, I got this little unit. Ease of use is exactly that. Easy! I loathe reading manuals and this unit is basically intuitive but, if you wish to use advanced features (memory settings, two person settings) it's best to read the manual. It's straight forward and plainly describes what to do, which I appreciate very much. I haven't installed the software yet but, plan on doing that soon. It appears the basic function of the software is for creating graphs and following the history of your blood pressure readings. The fact that this unit uses USB points to a long usability period as that's a standard I don't think is going anywhere soon. My next doc visit isn't til June and I'm taking the unit in w/ me to compare to his manual method. By then the Omron will have had plenty of use and I can see how it compares to the "real thing" after it 's gone through it's paces for 7-8 months. The unit feels solidly constructed. The cuff is of good size for larger arms (might be a bit large for smaller arms, even) and the unit pressures up consistently. It's a bit of a trust test the first time it airs up but, be patient, it won't strangle your arm, though on first use, you might argue that. Battery and AC power make this a really convenient, no excuse not to use, unit. I'm happy with this product so far.
Heart Monitor December 24, 2008 I received my blood pressure monitor on time and in the new condition that I expected.
Blood Pressure Monitor HEM 790IT December 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received the blood pressure item in quick time, well wrapped. I was pleased. I learned how to use the Monitor over a course of a few days, with instructions included and additional instructions via the internet. My only disappointment was that the unit will not allow me to use my Mac computer to upload and record the data; it seems it's only set up for a Windows operating system. Had I been aware of that I would not have ordered this deluxe item with the computer features and would have gotten the simple, cheaper one instead. Otherwise, it is well made. I am surprised that when taking blood pressure readings not one of them is the same as the one before and you have to take a series of readings and determine what range your readings are in: safe, beginning hi or low, and high (or low) and rate your level from that..
A very good product indeed December 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It works quite good. A very good BP check monitor. Has 3 modes, 2 user and 1 guest and very flexible. SW support and storage is pretty handy as well. I strongly recommend this product.
