"Beginner" ball ?? December 6, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
"Beginner" ball? I don't get it. Do the supposed "more advanced" balls come with mountain climbing gear affixed to them or something? How can a ball be made any more into a ball?
Size matters November 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having bought products from Gaim in the past, I am familiar with the quality of their products. Quality wasn't the problem here; rather, the size of this ball is the problem. I already owned one stability ball, and was looking for a replacement. I read the product info and bought the ball based on the description given and that it was recommended for people my height (5'5"). Upon inflating the ball, I discovered that 65 cm is very very small. This ball is more suitable for my 10 year old, and he laughed when he sat on it. So, if you are looking for the "big ball" (like the one at my fitness center) you need to go bigger. Plus, I didn't get a DVD with the ball and thought I would.
Works, but requires weekly maintenance November 12, 2008 The ball works like I expected, but slowly leaks air. You need to keep a tab on it else it'll gradually shrink and become squishier.
The video was very short and didn't really provide as full of a workout as I would've liked.
I'll be venturing with other brands to see if I can find better quality once this one gives out.
You get what you pay for - dont be fooled by positive reviews! October 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The quality of this ball compared to others on the market is shockingly bad. It feels as if it may burst at any moment, and the accompanying pump is pathetic: it takes for ever to fill the ball with air.
You get what you pay for. Mine is so bad I don't like using it, I will buy a new one from Amazon.
Good, sticky October 24, 2008 I bought this to sit on in front of my desk because I didn't want to sit in an office chair and ruin my back anymore. It suits my purpose really well. It was really tough pumping this thing up with the provided pump, it took forever. The only significant complaint I have is that I have hardwood floors and a cat. The ball is sticky and it picks up EVERYTHING that is not attached to the floor, including cat hair, lint, dust, dirt, whatever. My wife is a neat freak so it isn't that we aren't sweeping and mopping all the time. I tried cleaning the ball in the bathtub with floor cleaner but it didn't help much. Maybe some goo be gone or WD40 will work but I haven't got around to buying any yet.
