Perfect for any kid with a lot of ENERGY!! (Great winter toy) January 6, 2009 I got this for my 2 1/2 yro daughter (very energetic).. Even though the age recomedations. You def. need more than one person to put it together, but in the end it was sooo worth it.. She woke up Christmas morning and hasn't stopped jumping since!! It's is a great toy to own if you have cold winters!!
High Energy Fun January 6, 2009 Our 20 month grandson is a high energy child. He took to the "Jump Start" immediately and loves it. He will receive MANY hours of enjoyment and it will be a good outlet for his extra energy. Assembly ofthe unit was definitely a two person job, especially stretching and threading the elastic rope. The sound box was difficult for our grandson to activate while jumping. It may be because he is still too light yet (24 lbs), since no amount of adjusting was adequate to correct the situation. In either case, the music box works well, he enjoys it, and the device makes enough noise. Overall, this has been a terrific purchase, that is well suited for our grandson.
Wonderful birthday present! December 31, 2008 My daughter recieved this for her 2nd birthday. Even though it suggests ages 3+, both my girls, ages 2 and 3 1/2 LOVE this thing! It was a little hard to put together, but totally worth it. It is actually helping my older child learn to count to 100. Added bonus, they love to jump now while watching t.v. so they are actually getting some exercise while do it. Plus, they go to bed exausted!!! Yeah for easy bedtimes! Would definatley recommend this toy to anyone.
Great fun... until it broke... TWICE.... IN A YEAR!!! December 29, 2008 My son just turned 3 and this piece of junk broke last night for the 2nd time in a year. He loves to jump on it, for long stretches of time several times a day. Probably addicted, however... When the bungee cord broke the first time, I tried and tried to get in touch with the manufacturer to no availe. Finally after searching the internet and calling several trampoline parts and supply companies, I found a Houston-based company that carried the cord for $20 with shipping. Figuring it would be cheaper than buying a new trampoline I paid it. A few months later, almost a year to the day of setting it up brand new - here we are again. I should mention my son is just under 40 pounds - HALF of the weight limit it declares. I'm chunking it this time. Going with an exercise trampoline of some sort. Something with springs, not a bungee cord that's gonna break every few months. Not that it mattered to us all that much either, but we removed the batteries shortly after setup - talk about LOUD! But like I said, that never mattered much just used it for jumping.
I gave it 2 stars overall just for the pure fact that my son LOVED it... it's not worth it though... durability is crap and we never used it educationally due to its noise level. Don't waste your money here... go for something that will last!!
Lots of Fun! December 29, 2008 My kids got this for Christmas from their aunt. They love it!! They are 6, 4, and 3. They love how it counts to 100 and makes funny noises. It was a bear to put together, but once its together it is pretty sturdy.
