Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Men's Motion Control shoe with a smooth ride for runners with low to flat arches; along with the control, stability and cushioning known and loved by excessive pronators.

Amazon.com Product Description
When it comes to pronation control, the Addiction 7 is hard to resist. Previously considered the pinnacle of smooth, it now delivers an even smoother ride for runners with low or flat arches while maintaining the control, stability and cushioning known and loved by severe overpronators. Our Progressive Diagonal Rollbar (PDRB) controls the rate and degree of pronation by guiding the foot into a more efficient stride, while resilient HydroFlow units in the forefoot and rearfoot absorb shock and cushion the foot. No wonder this shoe is habit-forming.

5 out of 5 stars Brook's Continues to impress   December 22, 2008

I have been wearing Brooks for about 3 years now and am always impressed. I can't always say a lot about their style but that is not the reason I put on a running shoe. I want support and comfort as my highest priority. This shoe delivers that every time. I am a semi fit overweight male and am using these to train for my first half marathon. I am 8 weeks in and they are holding up nicely...no feet aches! I would put these above Nike, Reebok, and Adidas.

5 out of 5 stars Brooks Addiction   December 16, 2008
This shoe is the best for flat, straight as a board feet. I've run in this shoe for 20 years and it is the only one that works for me. It is worth a try!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Cushion and support, perfect for the heavy runner.   December 12, 2008
These are excellent shoes, I have had 3 pairs of this exact model. My first pair was recommended by one of the fitting experts at my local running specialty store. The brooks helped my knees considerably. I'm a big guy (6' 248lbs) was (289lbs when I started running) and these shoes provide the necessary support for my weight. I experience no joint pain and much less fatigue running in these shoes. My last two pairs have been from Amazon because I can't resist the great price and having them delivered! :) Do consider getting fitted by an expert at a local running specialty store in your area. An expert will ensure that you have the correct shoe for your gate, pronation, and other technical running criteria. They will also make sure your shoe is the right size. I've taken a few of my running buddies down to the local store and the most common problem with their old shoes was they were too small. So go get a fitting and then when you go to replace the shoe save at amazon!

4 out of 5 stars It's a great shoe   December 7, 2008

I have been running in Brooks Addiction shoes for three years and will continue to run in them. I overpronate and wound up with bad ITB problems near my hip prior to running in these shoes. I have had no ITB issues while running in them. They are comfortable and not too heavy.

My only minor complaint would be that the tops of the shoes near the toe box tend to wear and rip. This tends to happen close to the time I need to replace them anyway. Not a big deal.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect for my feet!   November 17, 2008
I LOVE THIS SHOE!! Thank God for this. It is perfect for my flat-feet, and I no longer pronate while I walk or run. I love how it makes you WANT TO run, instead of walk, because it makes your steps flow-from your heel to your toes.
